For those who love to write
This course is a space to experiment with writing—where creativity meets technique. You’ll explore the line between reality and imagination, using words to shape scenes, characters, and ideas in fresh ways. Through reading, discussion, and hands-on exercises, you'll stretch beyond familiar territory and discover new approaches to storytelling.
We’ll work with personal narratives, short stories, and poetry, focusing on techniques that bring detail and emotion to life on the page. You'll experiment with descriptive writing, explore the power of voice, and consider how memory and imagination intersect in transformative and life writing.
Each week, you’ll take on exercises designed to spark ideas and refine your craft. Whether you’re writing to make sense of an experience or simply to tell a compelling story, you’ll develop confidence in your voice and build a collection of work that reflects your growth.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a set of polished pieces and a toolkit of skills to take your writing further. With constructive feedback, thought-provoking discussions, and exposure to inspiring writers, you’ll sharpen your craft and find new ways to express your perspective.
