Kia ora, I’m Shavneet! I’m an Economics teacher based in Aotearoa New Zealand, and I’m looking forward to working with you through NETNZ. I enjoy making Economics practical and relevant by connecting the ideas we study to what is happening in New Zealand and around the world. We’ll use real businesses, current events and everyday examples to help make sense of economic concepts. My aim is to help you understand why things happen in the economy, rather than simply memorising definitions. I’ll encourage you to ask questions, think critically, apply economic concepts to real situations and develop your own well-supported explanations. Whether Economics is a subject you already enjoy or something that is completely new to you, I’m here to help you build your confidence and succeed. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you throughout your Economics journey! Ngā mihi, Shavneet
