Course Overview

Learn through playing PC games? Absolutely. Paradox Interactive (https://www.paradoxinteractive.com/)is well know for creating a series of historically based games. These game are historical simulations that engage the player in real world issues of the time. The whole series covers history from Ancient Rome until World War Two and everything in between.

 

Games include: Imperator Rome / Crusader Kings / Europa Universalis / Hearts of Iron

 

Learners will play the games together and then inquire into the various historical events, situations, eras that emerge. The course will use a connected inquiry / research based approach to learning.

 

The game is focused on year 7-10 age group.

This is a semester based course.
