Course Overview
This is a general Visual Art course for year 11 and 12 students.
This is a practical course for people who enjoy art making. All you need is an interest and a willingness to create and keep creating.
In level one you will develop skills in drawing and wet media based around a theme of identity, culture and/or place. We will learn from established artists with a focus on painting and an option for printmaking.
Level two explores painting techniques and conventions. You will choose a theme to sustain a body of work that evolves as you learn from artist models and develop your style.
Year 11 students not taking NCEA are able to enrol in this course. For those who are it is assessed at L1 and 2
